Gary and Marsha happened across Spirit Hill during a short visit to Hermann back in 2000. The beauty of the site took our breath away and we were delighted to find the light-filled house was for sale! Our spur-of-the-moment decision to make it ours was one of the best things we've ever done - next to choosing each other, of course.

When we were able to move in full time almost 10 years later, we completed updates to make the house comfortable for us and our guests, adding bathrooms for each bedroom, convenient parking, and a private Innkeeper Suite..

During your visit, you'll probably come across "Gary the Gardener" as he grooms the outdoor spaces and harvests seeds to share with guests.

We will be in residence in the lower level innkeepers' suite during your stay. We'll be glad to help with anything you need, and to share tips about activities around Hermann.

Absolutely perfect! We had the most amazing time at Spirit Hill! We were able to enjoy the gardens and the fire pit both evenings. The trolley picked us up at the driveway. We actually canceled our dinner reservations downtown on Saturday night so we could go back and enjoy dinner on the deck instead. The view was breathtaking and the gardens were incredible! The house really had everything we needed! Gary was kind enough to cut a few flowers for us before we left, and even told us how to grow them in our own gardens. I can't say enough good things about this place.
